Russ Fielden | Hilton Head & Bluffton Buyers Agent

"Russ is straight forward, down to earth, honest and hard working. You will get no promotion from him...just his honest opinion, based on years of knowledge and experience. You will not find more integrity in a broker anywhere, and he doesn't disappear after the sale. Russ has been incredibly helpful to our family and Karin and I consider him a friend - one that we don't get to see often enough. I couldn't recommend Russ any higher. He is the best." ....Eric Erdossy....⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I first moved to the Hilton Head Island back in the early 70's Sea Pines Plantation was the main residential development underway and was setting the standard that has made the Island one of the most beautiful and unique retirement/resort communities on the East coast. North and South Forest Beach were the first residential beachfront areas on the island and Coligny Plaza was considered the downtown of the island. Bluffton SC was all countryside until you reached the quaint riverfront town of Bluffton on the May River where you were guaranteed to get a speeding ticket if you went over 30 mph.

I worked with Sea Pines Company and the Hilton Head Inn for the first few years on the island before moving into construction and remodeling. My wife Deb and I took on the remodeling and opening of The Beaufort Inn in downtown Beaufort and sold the property before starting Southern Coast Realty in 2005.

A little history of Hilton Head & Bluffton:

The private communities of Shipyard Plantation, Palmetto Dunes Plantation, Port Royal Plantation and Hilton Head Plantation were next in line after Sea Pines with homes and condos for sale on Hilton Head. These communities were the first to have oceanfront homes for sale on Hilton Head Island that were located inside a gated community.

Hilton Head condos outside of a private development were especially prevalent in the South Forest Beach area just outside of the ocean gate of Sea Pines and near Coligny Plaza which was the commercial center of the island. Palmetto Dunes was the next area to develop oceanfront condos on Hilton Head which are in the gated area of Leamington.  Later, the Broad Creek side of the island became developed with the waterfront the communities of Wexford, Long cove, Indigo Run, Shelter Cove and Windmill Harbor.

Hilton Head homes were architecturally outstanding and the communities that were developed within the natural landscape of the beautiful forest on the island. Hilton Head became a unique and vibrant island that was, and still very much is, a favorite place to call home and to enjoy a the many amenities the island to offer residents. Homes for sale in gated communities in the  Bluffton area started with Colleton River Plantation, Belfair Plantation, Berkeley Hall and Rose Hill Plantation.

Now there are numerous communities in the Bluffton area including the renowned development of Palmetto Bluff Plantation with 20,000 acres on the May River. Many of our communities both on the island and in the Bluffton area are gated where you need to have an agent accompany you to view properties. Real estate agents on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton are plentiful, however many are part time.

If you are looking for a buyer's agent who is full time, owns their own real estate company and has a long history on the island and in Bluffton I would appreciate your considering using me. I would be glad to help and promise to look out for your best interests.
