One morning while I was taking some photos of a new listing I happened to get a shot of these guys rowing on Battery Creek near Parris Island. There is a great rowing club in Beaufort now called The Beaufort Rowing Club.

The rivers of Beaufort are a perfect place for rowing. Especially inthe early morning hours when the winds are usually calm.

Located on Cat Island which is also part of Ladys Island, the Sanctuary 18 hole golf course is one of Beaufort's best. I think it is the best public course available. Sanctuary is the most beautiful course we played on our 2 week Hilton Head vacation. Ir's about an hour from the island but absolutely worth the drive. A fair and playable layout with enough challenge to satisfy most any golfer. Nice facilities, friendly staff and the views the views the views!

The course is filled with great marshfront scenery and views of the Port Royal Sound. A large and spacious driving range is just across Cat Island drive at the Club House....
