Homes for sale on St Helena Island SC
St Helena Island is one of the largest Sea Islands along the South Carolina coast. The island is mostly rural in nature with tons of waterfront and several waterfront communities. On the North side of the island the are five peninsulas that extend out toward the Morgan River and the St Helena Sound. Starting from the West near Ladys Island the peninsulas in general are the areas of Dataw Island, Eddings Point, Tom Fripp Point, Fripp Point and Coffin Point.
All of these peninsulas have waterways on both sides in the form of rivers, creeks and marshes. Coffin Point area is one of my favorites on St Helena Island. It is full of absolutely gorgeous live oaks trees, dirt road lanes, sandy beaches on the sound and horse farms. It is also the closet peninsula to the ocean and I just happen to keep my boat there for the easy access. Coffin Point is where the movie scene "run Forest Run was filmed" on the oak laden lane where he ran.
