The Burton area of Beaufort SC includes the Shell Point area near Parris Island in the South over to Habersham, Laurel Bay and Seabrook to the West and Stuarts Point with the Air Station on the North. The East side of Burton fronts along Battery Creek where the waterfront communities of Wrights Point, Picket Fences, Pinckney Retreat, The Islands Of Beaufort, The Overlook, Battery Shores and Battery Point are located.
